When I was in my 20's and early 30's,
I could eat whatever I wanted.
I had been a 4-season athlete
and weighed about 165
and had boundless energy.
When my focus changed
to building a family and career,
I stopped being active
and my weight started creeping up.
By 40, I had a round pot belly.
I told myself it was "sympathy weight"
due to my wife's pregnancies.
Conventional wisdom meant following
a low-fat diet and working out,
but even after losing a few pounds,
it would come right back.
A demanding schedule was
a good excuse to stop trying,
and I gradually added a nice, round face
and love handles that gave me
a muffin top that hid my belt.
I hit a high of 205 just before I turned 50, and I felt bloated and looked terrible.
At that point, I had tried many different diet plans, some worked better than others,
but the weight always came back, and I just kept gaining MORE weight.
I finally discovered the truth about fat, the connection to immunity and the importance of gut health.
Gradually, people around me noticed the changes to my weight and overall health
and wanted to know more, especially when I kept the weight off.
When I saw them apply my suggestions and have their own success,
I realized coaching seemed to be my natural gift.
I decided to pursue certification as a health coach
and dedicate myself to helping others break free from the weight regain cycle.
I developed my signature program THE BIG FAT RESET
with the goal of helping 1,000 people lose the weight and keep it off- forever.
